Davido Music Worldwide's first lady, Abdulsalam Suliyat Modasola who is best known as Liya drops a new project tagged "Alari".
The Nigerian singer and songwriter, Liya who joined Davido's DMW early this year shares her debut body of work 'Alari'.
On her debut EP, Alari (Yoruba for “stand out”), Davido Music Worldwide’s latest signee reveals her range by employing a spate of genre-mashing stylistic choices and stirring vocals to convey weighty messages. With a sole feature from label head Davido, the rising star showcases her talent over six tracks rooted in her Yoruba culture and heritage. On “Adua” and “Olodumare”, she riffs in Yoruba across twinkling production while crooning softly about her experiences, before switching things up on the upbeat “Lakiriboto” and “Alari”.
The first track Alari is a piece of high-tempo afro-house music. The danceable tune was produced by K Dream.
Zaki and K Dream team up to produce one of the potential hit songs Lakiriboto on this project. The afro-fusion tune featured Nigerian pop singer and Liya's label boss, Davido.
Years Ago is one of my favourite songs on this extended play. It's groovy, melodic and perfect. It's a mid-tempo emotional song produced by Zaki.
Here is the only single on this body of work. Zaki and Liya share a beautiful melody tagged Melo.
Looking for an emotional tune with adorable melodies? Here is one for you. Liya's sultry voice makes Adua even more enticing.
Zaki and Liya also worked on the last track together. Olodumare is fire, to say the least.
