EP REVIEW: Tiwa Savage - "Water & Garri"

Nigeria singer, songwriter, and actress Tiwatope Savage who is popularly known as Tiwa Savage drops a new project tagged "Garri & Water".

The former Mavin records star who is now signed to Universal Music South Africa, Motown Records, and Capitol records share a new body of work months after dropping her fourth project 'Celia'.

The extended play features R$B, alternative, Afropop, and soul music. She teamed up with Nas, Rich King, Amaarae, Brandy, and Tay Iwar for the extended play. Production credits go to Richard King, Michael Segun Ajayi, Cracker Mallo, Austin Junior Iornongu Iwar, and Chukwuemeka Gabriel Obi.

Here is a candid review of the extended play by Tiwa Savage

• The first track Work Fada features Nas and Rich King. It is a slow-paced R&B melody. The song is such a spiritual piece of art with amazing lyrics.

• Ade Ori is a groovy African vibe with emotional melodies to perfectly marry Tiw Savage's sultry vocals. It is the only solo-performed song on this project.

• Tales By Moonlight is a beautiful sensual tune performed by Tiwa Savage and Ghanaian music star, Amaarae. It is the only single on this project as it was released few albums before the entire EP dropped. It was produced by Cracker Mallo.

• In Somebody's Son, Tiwa Savage employs Brandy to a groovy African tune with an interesting storyline.

• Tay Iwar joins Tiwa Savage in a melodic R&B tune tagged Special Kinda. The song is surely one that could enough you chill and relax after a long day at work. It's spiritual.
