Nigerian rapper, singer, and performing artist, Ani Jeremiah Chukwuebuka who is best known as Jeriq teams up with Dremo for a joint extended play tagged 'East And West'.
The two friends who have been linking up a lot recently come through with a 5-tracks hip hop project tagged 'East And West' which got the two rappers representing their hood. The Igbo Indigenous rapper, Jeriq represents the east while his friend, Aboriomoh Femi Raymond aka Dremo stood in for the west.
Jeriq and Dremo employ the services of talented producers like Benjamz (IllBeatz) and Jayswag for their hardcore hip hop project 'East and West. While Jeriq majored in Igbo, Dremo only switched to Yoruba once in a while. The mixtape features drill, trap, and pop.
The first track Ego was produced by Benjamz (Illbeatz). It's an African sound with the popular UK Drill melody. Benjamz provides Dremo and Jeriq a powerful tune to talk about their aim to pack up some bar. It's a lovely tune.
The second track is more like the first. Secure The Bag begs fans to keep their eyes on the bag. The Afrodrill was produced by Jayswag. To me, this is the hottest jam on this mixtape. The sound is groovy and the message so on point.
East and West is a hip-hop tune. The two rappers go hard on this one with their individual bars and a relatable hook.
The next track is an amapiano sound tagged Imakwa which is an Igbo word that translates to 'you know'. The song is groovy and danceable. It's surely a party jam with an easy to sing hook.
In Sure bet, Jeriq and Dremo step on a weird dope tune produced by Jayswag to talk about blessings and more life. The rappers borrow the street slang 'Sure slang' to emphasize the blessing and grace they have.
