The Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA) tracks and monitors record sales in South Africa. They are a non-profit organization and acts as a Trade Association of South African Record Companies with members who have a common economic interest in the recorded music industry in South Africa.
These certifications are grouped in Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Multi-Platinum with each category having different criteria in these countries.
Few days, Davido bagged yet another gold certification. David Adeleke the Nigerian superstar, Davido claimed another medal for his 2017 smash hit single, 'IF. The single got certified Gold in the US, by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). In the US, the Gold certification is used to commemorate a body of work or single for moving 500,000 or an equivalent of it, due to the streaming era. This came after his song Fall was certified gold in USA and Canada.
