DMW Mayorkun VS Starboy Terri, Who Is More Talented?

For close to a decade, the argument has been between Davido and Wizkid. Fans of these two stars have not been best of friends especially on Twitter where they battle to crown their favourites the best.

Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel who is popularly known as Mayorkun joined Davido in DMW in 2016 before dropping his debut single Eleko under the record label. The Nigerian pop star released his debut studio album The Mayor of Lagos in 2018. He is a Headies Next Rated award winner and a Hip Hop Revelation award winner. Mayorkun won both awards in 2018 and 2019 respectively.

Just recently, Mayorkun and Davido linked up in a song titled The Best off Davido's A Better Time album where Mayorkun confessed he learned from the best(Davido) and the DMW boss gladly accepted the crown. This brought about a heated argument on Twitter over the criteria that made Davido a better singer to his colleagues.

Just when we thought we have had enough of the drama, the Headies Award Artist of the year nominee list came out featuring Mayorkun, Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Tiwa Savage. While many rooted for Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, a reasonable number of music fans claimed Mayorkun deserved the award. Like always, this gave room for another tweet war. Wizkid FC claimed the Mayor of Lagos should not even be a contender which pushed DMW fans to compare Mayorkun to Wizkid's only artist Terri.

Terri has been under Wizkid's Starboy Entertainment for a while. The talented Soco crooner dished out his debut body of work Afro Series under the tutelage of Wizkid. Though the EP gave him just one hit song in Ojoro, fans argued the EP is one of the best projects to have dropped last year.

Anyways, the heat was much for us. Arguments like Terri has a gold certification in Canada, a global hit in Soco, and the rest made us wonder if truly Terri is bigger and better than Mayorkun. Like always, we want to have your opinions which is why we brought them to you.
