Nigeria's Mavin records new signee Oyinkansola Aderibigbe widely known as Ayra Starr comes through with a self-titled debut EP.

The Benin-born Nigerian singer and songwriter who was raised between Cotonou, Benin Republic, and Lagos, Nigeria shows off her magical vocals in her new extended play. Ayra Starr has been likened to Nigerian megastar Tems for her alluring vocals and genre. Despite the comparisons and criticisms, her new project resonates on streaming platforms.

She covers R$B, Alternative, and trap in her 5-tracks debut of work majorly produced by Mavin records inhouse music producer and sound engineer, Loudaa. Like always, Ayra Starr was discovered by Don Jazzy a year ago and has been undergoing tutelage in preparation for this moment. She had some freestyle video clips on her Instagram page prior to her career launch under Mavin records. She is barely 19. Ayra Starr possesses a rare voice. Her ability to control her voice in an extraordinary manner is spectacular.

Aside from her mind-blowing vocals and flows, the chords, melodies, and feelings in the instrumentals make this project a masterclass.

• Loudaa and Ayra Starr start off on a cool and groovy tune tagged Away. Loudaa ensured Ayra Starr's golden vocals is accompanied by a rich slow-paced R$B tune that gave her room to express herself. The song is an anthem against toxic relationships and emotional trauma. We couldn't have asked for a better song to lead this body of work.

• In Ija , Ayra Starr steps down to an alternative tune built on afrobeat. The tune uncovers Ayra's strength in songwriting and delivery.

• Loudaa and Ayra Starr link up once again to give us something powerful and relatable tagged DITR. Ayra Starr tells the story of the realities of being raised in the world today. She pours her emotion on this hot tune addressing peer pressure and bad influence.

• Sade is a love song by Ayra Starr. The new Mavin hypes her lover for being faithful, truthful, and precious. She celebrates his love and says she can't apologize for her desire to spend the rest of her life with her mysterious lover.

• Memories is another track by Ayra Starr produced by Loudaa. The melodic tune talks about memories and the fact it lives. Ayra Starr perfects this transition with a soul tune as an outro for her debut project.
