Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji popularly known as Mohbad premieres his first body of work tagged "LIGHT".
In December 2019, Naira Marley announced the addition of Mohbad to his record label, Marlian Music, alongside four other artists. Mohbad has previously dished out a couple of tracks including the recently released hit single with Rexxie tagged "Ko Por Ke".
The Marlian records star employs his label boss, Naira Marley, Lil Kesh, and DMW boss, Davido in his debut project. The 8-tracks extended play was supported by one single. Mohbad takes us on a ride with sultry sounds, relatable wordings, and groovy melodies in this body of work.
The LIGHT EP was produced by Rexxie, SB, P Beat, and Austin Sinister.
The first track Sorry is inarguably one of the hottest songs in this masterpiece. Mohbad goes on his knees praying for forgivingness for engaging in internet fraud and other activities. It's a very emotional sound.
In Marlians Anthem, Mohbad and Rexxie come through with a groovy street Lamba to connect all Marlians and members of Naira Marley's 'No Belt Gang'.
Ponmo is the only single on LIGHT EP. It's a powerful street vibe featuring two street kings; Naira Marley and Lil Kesh.
SB gives Mohbad a funky track Omokomo to lay his Yoruba dominated rap verses. You'll most likely dance to this one.
In Once Debe, Mohbad enjoys Davido's vocals in the Rexxie produced tune as they both talk about still nurturing feelings for their ex.
The next track Cinderella is a mid-tempo groovy tune with mind-blowing melodies produced by SB. Mohbad with this track has been able to show his diversity and uniqueness.
P Beat and Mohbad shares another Afrobeat jam tagged Father Abraham. Mohbad pleads for God's intervention claiming the world is now atrocious.
The last track Holy produced by Austin Sinister is a spiritual vibe. The producer offers an unheard trap-Lamba sound. Mohbad surely gave this life.
