Cartel Music boss and Universal Music recording artiste, Augustine Miles Kelechi popularly known as Tekno comes through with his debut studio album "Old Romance".
Tekno takes the bold step, he's evidently riding on the phrase "better late than never" to unlock a melodious body of work with experimental sounds as well as popular dancehall sounds like Amapiano. The 14-Track solo-performed album is supported by his recent single "Enjoy". The album was released on December 10, 2020, eight years after Tekno kick-started his career.
Masterkraft attempts to create a new form of Amapiano with his groovy drums on "Uptown Girl". Tekno's vocals on this one were dope and his lyrics were way above average.
Tekno successfully pushed himself away from his familiar uptempo dancehall songs to a mid-tempo mellowed deep track with rich melodies.
Tekno never fails when he is in his comfort zone. The Nigerian pop star is known for dishing out dancehall tracks with top-notch melodies. "Addicted" is a potential hit song.
Though released days before the album was premiered, "Enjoy" is one of the hottest jams on this project. The lyrics are the selling point with due respect to the magic Blaise Beatz served us here.
"Tumbo" is nothing but the biggest song on this album. Tekno could have just served as another 'Pana'. The instrumental is addictive.
