Top Nigerian Albums Yet To Be Released in 2020

Despite how challenging 2020 has been, Nigerian artistes have been able to squeeze in so many projects this year. The global pandemic took a better part of the year. COVID-19 has so far claimed 1,155 lives in the country with a recovery rate of 93.9%. The music industry has suffered a glitch. Concerts and shows have been put on hold as the pandemic doesn't allow people to be crowded. Though virtual events, concerts, and performances have been held in a bid to diversify and make earns meet, the earnings can't be compared to that of live events.

Just when everyone thought we were moving away from the economic meltdown caused by the pandemic, the fight against police brutality, injustice and corruption seem to be the topic of the day in Nigeria. This was a major reason Wizkid pushed the release date of his album to October 29th away from the October 15th initially scheduled.

Even with all this drama, many Nigerian artistes have been able to dish out awesome projects this year. Burna Boy, Fireboy DML, Olamide, Tiwa Savage and Patoranking gave us "Twice as Tall", "Apollo", "Carpe Diem", "Celia" and "Three" respectively. DJ Cuppy, Wizkid, Omah Lay, Kizz Daniel and Cheque all released their new albums this year. With less than two months to round up the year, there are still a few albums that could just be dropping this year.

Below is a list of all the albums we believe could be hitting the media space before the year runs out.
