Davido: The Rich Kid Who Bullied The African Giant, Burna Boy - "FEM" Review

David Adedeji Adeleke alias Davido the son of Nigeria's business tycoon Adedeji Adeleke drops "FEM" a diss song to the African Giant, Burna Boy.

Following the recent happenings on twitter and his decision to take some time off social media, Davido regains access to his social media accounts with a Burna Boy diss song. The duo hasn't been best of friends after Burna Boy attacked the DMW boss for declaring himself and Wizkid as the "Greatest Of All Time (GOAT)". Burna Boy who barley released his fifth studio album "Twice as Tall" just before Grammy awards 30th August deadline for the 63rd edition entries has been totally pilloried by Davido in "FEM".

The new single by Davido is most definitely a build up for his forthcoming "A Better Time" album. David reinvented the strategy used to cash out on the hate and bashings he received after his 'Risky' freestyle was mocked and tagged 'wack' by so many social media users. He later teamed up with Jamaican singer Popcaan to turn the 'wack' freestyle into a hit track. In "FEM", Davido has been able to prove he has no time for negative vibes as he is ever ready to utilize any controversy for his good.

"FEM" is a vibe. The melodies are spiritual, the feeling is magnificent and the lyrics are unornamented. Though some part of the lyrics were menacing, intimidating and bullying, Davido had an amazing hook 'Para' to call back our attention to the fact he is only fighting back as he got the first heat. Many could argue he wasn't bullying the African Giant who is now "Twice as Tall" as David was at the receiving end of Burna Boy's 'Para (anger)' weeks ago. But that notwithstanding, it is a diss song attempting to bully Burna Boy.

"FEM" is a sound that is prone to get you emotional as we all have people who just don't want to see us succeed. It's the kind of vibe that gets everyone in the mood to shake off some negative vibes in club houses.

Though it's definitely not a good one from a 'preacher of love' who believes 'we rise by lifting others', "FEM" is a complete vibe. The A/R is top notch; instrumentation is phenomenal as well as Davido's delivery. He poured his soul on this one.
